Print media journalist
Hindi English Gujarati

Career Snapshot
An alumnus of Thomson Foundation, London, UK and Salzburg Seminar, Salzburg, Austria, I have more than 40 years of experience in print journalism.
Covering Hindi, English and Gujarati, and, ranging from The Indian Express Group to the Dainik Jagran Group. I have risen from reporter to Group Editor of Dainik Bhaskar, Chief Editor of Naidunia (part of Dainik Jagran Group) to Chief Editor, Free Press Journal Group.
Presently Advisor and Visiting Faculty in the Mass Communication Department of Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore. Earlier as Guest Faculty, in the Journalism Department of Devi Ahilya Vishva Vidyalaya, I took classes regularly. Thus, my experience is rich, varied, and focussed strongly in this field.
I write regularly on current affairs – political, national, international and my columns on news and analysis enjoy a wide readership. Besides these, my forte is penning editorials and selecting outstanding contributors to the op-ed page. During my career spanning more than 4 decades I have had the opportunity of serving with the largest groups in print media.
Earlier I was a frequent panellist on mainline national TV channels, participating in live discussions on issues dealing with political, current affairs, national and international headline news.
My participation in seminars and talks – national and international media events – as well as accompanying the PM on several visits abroad, as part of press entourage, have given me a wide-ranging perspective on events, even as they are unfolding.
Having been or being a member of the National Integration Council, Press Council of India, Editors Guild of India, Indian Institute of Mass Communication Society etc have also provided me opportunities to study the national media scenario from many diverse perspectives. These appointments have also enhanced my reputation as a media person of integrity and good standing.
Overseeing the planning and execution of the NaiDunia news portal project, which enjoys a large web readership, presented me with a great learning experience in digital media.
It is always my endeavour to learn constantly and improve systematically.
